Frequently asked Questions

Learn More

Will semi-privacy actually feel private enough?

For most side yards and patios—yes. You’ll see light and shapes, not details. If a specific window angle bothers you, we can tighten gaps or add a fully private insert just where it’s needed.

Is semi-privacy better in wind?

Generally yes. The openings reduce pressure. We still size posts, footings, and spans to your exposure so the fence feels planted in storm season.

Can semi-privacy meet pool code?

Often, as long as gaps are within limits, the gate self-closes/self-latches, and there are no footholds on the pool side. We’ll set the pattern and hardware to align with your city and HOA.

Will horizontal boards sag or cup?

Not when framed correctly. We use proper spans, quality lumber/composite, and (for heavy gates) hidden steel frames. Good finish and fasteners matter.

What distance to the coast changes the spec?

Within about a mile of open water, we default to aluminum or galvanized+powder frames and stainless hardware, plus a simple freshwater rinse routine.

Can you mix semi-privacy with privacy on the same run?

Absolutely. Many clients go semi-privacy near living areas and solid privacy at neighbor-facing sections or noisy stretches

How tall should I go?

6 ft is the Florida standard for rear/side yards. Fronts often require lower heights. We’ll confirm city/HOA before design

Does semi-privacy reduce noise?

A bit—less than solid privacy but more than ornamental. Louvers help by reflecting and diffusing sound; landscaping makes a noticeable difference too.
